Mindfulness Meditation for Teens (12-16 years old)
Tuesdays in Marble Hill Park
July 29th, August 12th, August 19th, and August 26th.
11:00am – 12:00pm
The summer holidays are all about taking time to unwind from the pressures of a busy school year. Given the rising levels of anxiety, depression, and chronic illness in British teens, mindfulness meditation is a wonderful way to help our children cope in a stressful world with more resilience and well being.
These hour-long sessions are opportunities to find out about mindfulness, try some simple meditation practices, and learn how to carve out moments of calm in the midst of a busy day. (Parents who are interested in learning about mindfulness are welcome to take part).
Each session stands alone so they don’t have to be taken in any particular order. Students can come along to one or all of the sessions depending on interest and/or time.
Participants will need to bring a towel, and a cushion or folding garden chair.
We will be meeting next to the car park in Marble Hill Park (by the wooden adventure playground). If it rains, the session will not go ahead.
Each session costs £3. Please contact Andrea to reserve your place ahead of time.
